Harry Potter-The Story So FAR

The Plot

Harry Potter-Philosopher’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows.

The evil ‘Lord Voldemort’ had discovered the refuge of the hidden Harry Potter and his family, and kill’s Harry’s Parents Lily and James Potter. When he also attempts to kill Harry, the Avada Kedavra killing curse rebounded swiftly upon him, and Lord Voldemort was completly destroyed, becoming nothing more than a Ghostly figure-who is neither alive or really dead either.

Harry (played by Daniel Radcliffe) survives, but is left with a distinctive lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead, the only physical sign of Voldemort’s curse. Harry’s mysterious defeat of Voldemort results in him being dubbed “The Boy Who Lived”, by the magical community. The following night, a wizard and the Game Keeper of Hogwarts (Hagrid) delivers Harry to what will be his residence for years afterward. The orphaned Harry is subsequently raised by his cruel, non-magical relatives, the Dursleys who, in attempt to rid him of his magical powers, hide his magical heritage and give him severe punishments after any magical occurences around the home. His life is misereable, lonely and mundane with the cruel family keeping him underneath the stairs-the poor boy dosen’t even have his own room.
As his eleventh birthday approaches, Harry has his first contact with the magical world when he receives spacial letters from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which are taken from him by his Aunt and Uncle before he has a chance to read them. On his eleventh birthday he is informed by Hagrid, that he is in fact a wizard and will not be living with his awful kin any longer. Harry’s then resides at Hogwarts-joins Gryffindor at the direction of the sorting hat, where he learns to use magic, cast spells and brew potions and masters his Nimbus 2000 ultra fast Broomstick. Harry also learns to overcome many magical, social, and emotional obstacles as he struggles through his teens. Most of us can relate to and sympathise with this (or will be able to soon)

What we see of Herry’s life is mostly set in Hogwarts School for Wizards, and focuses on his fight against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who uses and used the Dark Arts and even darker accumplices to kill Harry’s parents and attempts to take over the wizarding world and dominate the world of magic completly.

Year 3: Remus Lupin – Resigned after being revealed as a werewolf by Severus Snape.
Year 4: Alastor Moody – Trapped and impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr for the whole year; Barty Crouch Jr received the Dementor’s Kiss.
Year 5: Dolores Umbridge – Power craver, eventually becomes headmistress, driven out and traumatised by Centaurs for calling them “filthy half-breeds”;She was taken into the forest by Hermione, and led to the centuars.
Year 6: Severus Snape – Fled Hogwarts after killing Dumbledore.
